Thanksgiving Glazed Sweet Potato Slices

Entertaining for the holidays? Make sure to visit the Cake Shop Bakery to stock up on breakfast scones, croissants and quiche AND the bakery store for new recipe ideas.

Our shelves are stocked with our favorite Stonewall Kitchen jams, sauces and marinades. Pairing Stonewall Kitchen products with your Thanksgiving recipes are a fun way to add a new twist to an old staple. Take potatoes for example. You’ve probably been making and bringing the same family potatoes to the feast for years. This year is your year to shine!

Before posting a very doable new twist on potatoes below, allow us to offer a word of advice. Remember your hostess. She’s worked hard for this day. Pair a cookbook, jam and one of our chopping boards together for a perfect hostess gift. She’s bound to let you give the toast, say the prayer or carve the turkey!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Stonewall Kitchen Roasted Garlic Onion Jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Steam or boil potato slices until almost tender, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
  2. Combine orange juice and Roasted Garlic Onion Jam in a large skillet and bring to a boil over medium–high heat. Add sweet potatoes and tarragon. Gently boil until the liquid is reduced and coats the potatoes.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Serve at once or cover and refrigerate until needed, then gently reheat, adding additional orange juice or water if needed.
